Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Paint by Code app for iOS, developed by Studio Taupe (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By using Paint by Code, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of the app

Paint by Code turns photos into paint-by-numbers canvases. You can customize color count, detail level, and canvas format, paint in the app with Apple Pencil, and export canvases for printing. Processing happens locally on your device. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. License to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Paint by Code for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and applicable App Store terms.

4. Your photos and content

You are responsible for the photos you import or capture and for ensuring you have the right to use them. Do not use the app to process images you do not own or have permission to use, or images that violate applicable law or third-party rights.

Canvases, paint progress, and exports you create remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your photos or generated artwork.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it, or use it in any way that could harm Studio Taupe, other users, or third parties. We may restrict or discontinue access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that canvas generation will meet your expectations for every photo, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studio Taupe and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
